Dempsey Cranes and Construction (DCC) commenced operations in 2001 as a specialist supplier of wet and dry Queensland crane hire. Since then, our expertise, equipment and capacity has expanded to meet growing client demand and requirements. Today, our Queensland lifting solutions are complemented with a range of civil construction works and transportation services. We work for private and commercial clients across the Tablelands region, Cairns and north into the Cape, Torres Strait Islands and Papua New Guinea. Our mobile camps enable our crew to be self-sufficient in regional and remote areas, with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. Our business has always operated with an absolute commitment to safety and quality and we’re driven to exceed our customers’ expectations on every project.
Based in Far North Queensland, with offices in Ravenshoe and Atherton, DCC maintains an extensive fleet of late model cranes and earthmoving equipment. We have the capacity, capability and experience to undertake large and small contracts, ranging from individual private clients to corporation contracts.
Our management team has over thirty years’ experience in Heavy Lifting, Earthmoving and Civil Construction. We provide quality service for an array of projects and industry, including but not limited to the following.

DCC has developed mobile camps. These camps enable our people and plant to live and work onsite for larger projects in regional and remote locations. They provide a comfortable and safe living environment including first aid facilities, power generation, catering facilities, ablution system and waste management. The camps remain on location for the duration of the project. This enables us to be self-sufficient with minimal environmental disturbance, providing clients with maximum plant utilization. We have appropriate systems and procedures in place, to ensure safe work practices.
Dempsey Cranes and Construction has established an extensive network of suppliers, subcontractors and partners throughout Far North Queensland. We can supply a varied range of equipment, available for wet and dry hire, providing quality service in townships and remote locations.
